Auburn Community Hospital’s pulmonary and sleep medicine services include our partnership with Auburn Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine and our in-house Sleep Center. Our pulmonologists and sleep center specialists are skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of lung and sleep disorders.
OUR TEAM
Our team consists of Board Certified pulmonologists and sleep medicine specialists who are committed to ensuring the treatment and comfort of all patients.
A pulmonologist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of lung disorders. These include lung cancer, COPD (emphysema), asthma, chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and other infections of the lung including tuberculosis, dyspnea (shortness of breath), and cough and chest pain related to pulmonary disorders.
A sleep specialist is a physician who is trained and has expertise in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. Sleep Medicine is a rapidly growing specialty which treats disorders related to sleep. Auburn Community Hospital’s Sleep Center is directed by Dr. Rajesh Rao, who is Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.
